This is petition for Resolution on Massive Open Online Courses and the Teaching of Writing. Join the movement! Sign now!
Please sign this petition against SUNY having mass online writing courses. This may sound like an easy way out of an annoying requirement to many of you, but think of not only all the jobs that will be lost by passionate teachers, but all the strong connections students have between those teachers and the classrooms they bring life to. Writing is one of the few subjects that really needs a classroom setting. Many of you are math/science people and can often teach yourself everything from the slides, but writers cannot thrive through online courses and those who struggle with writing will face abysmal experiences. Please take the time to sign this.
